Unit Commander, Gregory Hast

Gregory has been a re-enactor his entire life since is father started in the 70's when he was 17 years old.  Gregory lives in Michigan and will be getting married at the Spring Grove event in 2019, to a fellow re-enactor he met there a few years ago. He has served as the unit commander since May, 2017.

Deputy Commander, Jo Peelman

Jo's family joined Worthington's Coy. in the late '80s, and she has grown up in the organization, acquiring new roles and responsibilities over the years since.  Jo has served on many committees and projects within the NWTA, the most recent as the insurance officer for the organization.  She has served Worthington's Coy. as assigned interim Commander from Nov. 2015 until she was voted Deputy Commander May 2016.  In her free time she volunteers at Forest Glen County Preserve where she works closely with a wonderful team to organize the Vermilion Valley Encampment, the yearly NWTA event hosted by Worthington's Company.

Quartermaster, Charles Rhoden

Charles brought his family into Worthington's in the 80's and since he is chief Ranger at Forest Glenn Nature Preserve, he started the vVermillion Valley Encampment, had historical buildings built, and a battlefield with fortifications.  He serves as our quartermaster, storing and making supplies for events.

Unit Founder, Gregory Holm

Gregory served as unit commander for 40 years after spending countless hours gathering the research needed to portray this particular unit.  He has been a passionate student of history his entire life, and an expert at recalling information and commentary about where we've been.  He stepped down in 2016 to allow a new generation to lead.

Webmaster/media coordinator, Walter Hast

Walter was born into re-enacting and served as a water-boy on the battlefield before picking up a drum, and eventually a musket. With his affinity for acting, and media technology, he volunteered to take on the website and contributing to the NWTA Courrier publication.  At events he considers battles, demonstrations, and other activities to be performances.
